I need an opinion?

Forgotten Language

Once I spoke the language of the flowers,

Once I understood each word the caterpillar said,

Once I smiled in secret at the gossip of the starlings,

And shared a conversation with the housefly

in my bed.

Once I heard and answered all the questions

of the crickets,

And joined the crying of each falling dying

flake of snow,

Once I spoke the language of the flowers. . . .

How did it go?

How did it go?

Shel Silverstein

I need an opinion?
nice poem
Reply:I'm not sure which of my opinions you want but I'll give you the most obvious one. Beautiful poem!! I love it, thought there's something strange about the last two lines (the "how did it go" part). Perhaps a more.....enduring, powerful statement at the end would have a more lasting effect?
Reply:I have tons of opinions, which one do you want?

Oh, here's one, just got it:

I think Jackie is wrong.
Reply:i dont think the poem flows very well and it is not written in a unique way. a poem should be written so that on each

line there are the same amount of syllables
