last august.. i started liking this guy from church. on november 1... we started dating. for 7 amazing months. then @ the end of may... i broke up with him bcause i felt that he deserved a much better gf than me. then my friend told him he should get over me.. so now he likes this girl sabrina.

our problem.. we can't hang out w/out kissing. if we are alone... we end up flirting.. and in the end we kiss. we started hanging out recently.. and it's just uncomfortable as friends.. but when we kiss.. it's like it's meant to be. and so. i decided.. i'm going to ask him out this thursday. would be the one year. but yeah.

give him flowers tell him to meet me at the river have a beautiful dinner set up. afterwards. put on our song. chasing cars by snow patrol. then we will dance. and then sit and watch the sunset.. and it will be romantic.

and i have this quote stuck in my head. no couple can be comfortably friends unless they were never in love, or they still are. what's going on between us?

It sounds like "puddle hopping." Puddle hopping is when a couple keeps breaking up and getting back together over and over again. Usually when you break up once and it lasts for a few months, it's not going to work. It's tempting to go back because you have this chemistry (since you were dating the other person in the first place), but it's often more about comfort than true compatibility.



You said that you felt you weren't good enough to be his girlfriend. Why did you feel that way? What issues were in your relationship that made you think that? Are you sure you're not just jealous of Sabrina? It's hard to move on and I think what's going on here is that you are afraid of it. I wish you the best of luck, but it honestly sounds like he's moved on and even you have to an extent.
Reply:Obviously there is still a connection between you whether he likes Sabrina or not. I definately think you should go for it! Never break up with a guy because you're "not good enough for him". Good Luck!
