Which of these two homeowners is doing the most to protect the environment? Both are politicians.?

House #1

A 20 room mansion (not including 8 bathrooms) heated by natural gas. Add on a pool (and a pool house) and a separate guest house, all heated by gas. In one month this residence consumes more energy than the average American household does in a year. The average bill for electricity and natural gas runs over $2,400. In natural gas alone, this property consumes more? than 20 times the national average for an American home. This house is not situated in a Northern or Midwestern "snow belt" area. It's in the South.

House #2

Designed by an architecture professor at a leading national university. This house incorporates every "green" feature current home construction can? provide. The house is 4,000 square feet (4 bedrooms) and is nestled on a high prairie in the American Southwest. A central closet in the house holds geothermal heat-pumps drawing ground water through pipes sunk 300 feet into the ground. The water (usually 67 degrees F.) heats the house in the winter and cools it in the summer. The system uses no fossil fuels such as oil or natural gas and it consumes one-quarter electricity required for a conventional heating/cooling system. Rainwater from the roof is collected and funneled into a 25,000 gallon underground cistern. Wastewater from showers, sinks and toilets goes into underground purifying tanks and then into the cistern. The collected water then irrigates the land surrounding the house. Surrounding flowers and shrubs native to the area enable the property to blend into the surrounding rural landscape.

House #2 George Bush's house.....People had better wake up to the fact the Algore does NOT intend to live by the same standards that he wants to make US live by....I don't like using the word hypocrite but Algore is the definition of it.
Reply:Craig got in here because the left salvates with hate when someone they oppose is caught tapping their feet in a bathroom....on the other hand their god clinton can groap, fondle, and expose himself and claim its a "private sexual" thing and we shouldn't even talk about it.....sick minds. Report It
Reply:The description of the Crawford estate only includes Bush's new, personal living quarters. The other buildings on the property, including housing for staff, offices and conference centers are not included, but they contained within the Gore estate's "20 rooms" and "guest house". Significantly, there's no disclosure of the Crawford energy bill. A valid comparison can't be made.

How the rich and powerful live makes an interesting and entertaining TV show. It has nothing to do with whether Gore is right about global warming or whether Bush is doing enough to reduce our dependence on middle east oil. Those are the real issues that should determine whether we listen to either of these guys.

One more thought. Sen Craig was a hypocrite about family values issues, but that does NOT that mean that family values are wrong or that they should not be promoted in any way by our politicians.
Reply:Obviously #2 , but I find interesting the rantings of hypocriticalcons. NOWHERE in the asker question did he mention a name, or party affilliation. Until you spilled the beans with Gore, I had erroneously assumed the first house was Edwards. Thankyou for correcting me. Now to whom does the second house belong?
Reply:House #2 duh!
Reply:#2

A very sensable home.
