What kind of flowering/non flowering plants can be planted suited to all kinds of season?
I live in N.E. Georgia, and it will snow here at least one time this year, we have ice today. In winter we plant Pansies and Viola's for color, they freeze ofcourse below 32 degrees, but they thaw out during the day and they last until we plant summer annuals. We also have ornamental cabbage and kale for color in the landscape. If you live around the N.Fulton or Forsyth county area, Saul Nurseries is a good place to buy from, everything is grown on the property. Nothing better than home grown!!!!!!!
Reply:Wow the list is numorous, your local store should sell what's best for your area. Go to your library, they have all the books.
Reply:Know the local plants and flowers in the area. It is a sure hit for your garden to be suited to all kinds of season.
Reply:Hollies are a great plant. They are dependable, and hardy. They dont flower, but some will get red berries in the winter. The best thing to do would be to go to a local library and check out a plant book, or go to your local Home Depot and take a look at the plants they have on hand. You can usually get a good idea of what will do well in your area at Home Depot. (or a local plant nursery, even better!) Good Luck!
Reply:Camellias are evergreen and bloom winter and very large color selection. Azaleas evergreen and bloom spring at Easter. Indian Hawthorne is evergreen and grows in a mound easy to maintain. Amaryllis bulbs bloom every spring and Lay dormant til next spring and they multiply.
Reply:Try this site: iBtraveling.com and click on the "garden tips" ad on the lower left corner of that site's home page. I've signed up for his newsletter and just love all the thoughts and idea he has about keeping your garden growing...all sorts of stuff.

Wish you luck!
