Type of tree to plant?

we just bought our neighbors land %26amp; trailor next door %26amp; sold the trailor so now were going to plant some trees in its place...the land is about 80ft mayb a little more or less %26amp; wide enough for 2 trailors to sit side by side touching

-id like a tree w/ blooms or flowers but i hate bees so idk if theres anything like that that wont attract bees (???)

-i live in ky so the weather is rainy springs, hot summers (gets into the 90's), cool falls %26amp; very cold winters (occasional snow)

-it doesnt matter how fast it grows...were not in any hurry we'd just like to have somthing there so its not so empty

-also nothing too too expensive

-maybe a nice shade tree??

thanks so much any suggestions would be great!

My favorite is the Crepe Myrtle. It has beautiful flowers in the summer, and most importantly a root structure that doesn't destroy sidewalks or foundations.

It survives our 100 degree summers and freezing winters quite well.
Reply:Red Maple is nice
Reply:Maples make wonderful shade trees!

Maybe mix the maples....you have yellow maple, red maple, the are lovely when the fall weather comes!

is the area wet? a Water Willow takes a damp area..but a nice Weeping Willow would make a great shade tree too!

What is your state tree??? try planting one of them.

I don't blame you for not wanting blooming trees...
