What is worth one thousand poems?
Dropping from the sky like snow
To freeze the skin a moment glowing
As they pierce and make you know
A moments meaning - maybe madness?
Mean it - then you make it so!
All these leaves from trees a dropping
Through the seasons - fall to fall -
That scatter on the ground around -
A poem carpet - wall to wall -
All these meanings curling up and
Growing old - as are we all!
Rain is pouring out its poems
Each a droplet dart of doom -
Falling freezing - thawing - soaring
Through the sky and through the gloom
Bringing you a message - meaning -
See the light - from womb to tomb!
Walking through the summer bushes
Full of fragrant flowers formed
By Nature's craft - like art of poems -
Fashioned where a brain has stormed
The castle of the heart - and honey
Flows where heaven's bees have swarmed!
What is worth 1000 poems?
I know a picture is worth a thousand words, so a thousand pictures could equal one thousand poems. One for each picture.
P.S. Merry Christmas
Reply:Since it is quite complicated to put a monetary figure on a thousand poems, lets say they are priceless. Enjoy them, they are written here for that purpose. These are fantastic!
Reply:Please inform your friend Steve Langley, that I found his piece enjoyable.
Outside of a few little edits to tighten the piece....
I enjoyed it.
Thank you for sharing,
Sam
